Walmart Party on Mom Prize Pack Giveaway

I love football. It’s hard to find anyone in my circles who doesn’t! And even if they don’t love the sport as much as I do, they love to gather for the game.

But let’s face it, often times when you host any sort of gathering at your house, you end up spending more time planning beforehand, managing during and cleaning up afterwards, that it becomes hard to enjoy the actual game and your guests.

Well that situation ends today because I’m here to help you pull off the perfect “HomeGate”.

Yes, you heard me correctly, HomeGate. I don’t get to attend Titans games as often as I’d like to in person, but there’s nothing stopping me from creating a party at home most weekends.

So get ready to throw out your excuses and listen up for these tips to help you become the ultimate football Party Mom!

The Perfect Football Party: 3 Steps to a Stress-Free HomeGate

1. Streamline your pre-game cleaning

I always wonder why people spend a ton of time cleaning up before friends come over when you’re ultimately going to have more to clean up after they leave. The key is focus on just the few rooms your guests will spend the most time in and use as few items as possible to clean the key areas within those rooms. For me, that typically looks like using a roll of Bounty paper towel to wipe down surfaces and then grabbing my Swiffer to pick up any excess dirt and hair from the floor. After that’s done, a spray of Febreze will leave the room smelling fresh and clean. And once I’m done, I keep those same three items close by during the party in case of any quick spot cleaning that needs to happen.

2. Pick simple, family-favorite dishes

Hosting a HomeGate doesn’t mean you have to slave away in the kitchen. I stock up on simple yet popular staples like chips, salsa, cheese, crackers, chips, pizza and drinks. Walmart is always on my party game plan because with one stop I can get my food, décor and clean-up essentials. About an hour before guests arrive, I enlist my kids to help me start setting everything out on the kitchen counter so our guests can easily help themselves throughout the game.

3. Get yourself ready for kickoff!

Once I know my house and food are taken care of, it’s time to get myself ready for game day! No matter where you watch (at home or at the stadium) it’s important to take the time for yourself to look and feel you best. About a half hour before guests arrive, I’ll get my shower, grab my Titans jersey and get my game face on. After all, if mama doesn’t feel good, no-one’s going to feel good 😃

See, hosting a HomeGate is as simple as 1-2-3. When you’ve got your home team to cheer for, you don’t need much else besides friends, family and food. Keep this formula and your favorite P&G products on hand and I can pretty much guarantee that your next HomeGate will be such a big success that your guests will be asking when they can come back before they even leave!
