IN MY LIFE:

I seemed to let a lot go this weekend. We didn’t think as much about what we were eating. I didn’t get on the computer. I tried my best to stay present. I took two walks in one day. I played outside more. I even mowed the lawn!

While I want to keep embracing that attitude, I also want to focus more. We have a week of virtual school under our belt. We’ve cooked more, laughed more, and played more. But in order to keep giving our best, we need to get back into a routine.

This morning, we woke up earlier, exercised, ate breakfast together, prayed and set expectations for our day.

While some people feel restricted by a plan, I find safety. Plans don’t always have to be executed exactly as scheduled. But when you don’t have a plan, there is very little you can rely on.

Tomorrow I’ll come back with some very specific things we’ll be doing as a family for the end of the month that you can join in on. For today, I want you to think about how you can re-evaluate your daily and weekly plan to become something that works for your entire family while still reflecting flexibility in the midst of our unique circumstances.

PRAYER FOCUS: Joy
I pray you find joy and satisfaction in the midst of all that’s going on right now.

Stay in the know on the go:
