I first attended the FamilyLife Weekend to Remember event years ago in Florida after I won a Moody Radio contest (shocking that I won a contest, I know 😉 We were so impressed by the amount of encouragement, inspiration, and even challenge that we received.

There has been some confusion about where to enter our FamilyLife Group Code to redeem the discount. As soon as you click on the city to register for the Weekend to Remember, you will fill out your basic information (name & address) and then you’ll see a place to enter the Group Code just below that.
I’ve heard from some of you that you had problems using the Group Name for your discount. I think it’s because you tried entering it in the Promo Code window on the checkout screen instead of this Group Name section. If you have any problems, just leave a comment below and let me know!

Hi Sami- My husband and I attended a WTR a few years ago after a hugely difficult time in our marriage. It was a strong element in helping us through that time with better focus and hope. Both of our parents are divorced and neither of us saw a marriage with communication and success in resolving life’s conflicts. Our son and his girlfriend are discussing marriage and we want them to begin this beautiful journey in life with tools we didn’t have. We want them to realize how to be a team from the start as one with Christ, how to respectfully and openly discuss issues in a healthy way with the goal of resolution and not care who is “right”, and to know all things are possible when faced together. We have shared with them many of the things we learned from our WTR but it is so much more empowering when one sees a room full of people come alive with new or renewed knowledge of how a marriage should be and CAN be and receive tools of how to get there….. My husband and I have been married for 8+ years now and have had 3 children very close together (our oldest is 3!) Our third child, who is so sweet and wonderful, has tipped us over the edge a bit with juggling everything, and it’s been overwhelming to care for 3 very young kids and keep up our marriage, full-time work, elder work in the church etc. My husband recently graduated from seminary and is looking for a pastoral call. My name is Meg and I’ve been married to my husband Rick for almost 16 years. We have been through so much in our life together including two miscarriages, raising our two other beautiful children, losing both of our fathers in the first 10 years of our marriage and, most recently taking in my husband’s mother in our home in order to care for her. Also, this year, we have been working to assist our 10 year old son Jaxon to stabilize his mental health. 2 weeks ago he came to us telling us he was suicidal and self injuring. We have been watching God work out this situation in ways we never imagined. Nevertheless, our marriage has suffered because of caring for his mother and our children while also working full time. My parents have been married for almost 33 years. I am the youngest of their 4 children. They poured so much of their time and energy into raising us that they never made their marriage a priority. My siblings and I became believers throughout high school and college, and by God’s Grace my parents were saved a few years later. My siblings and I are now all married with young children and our desire is to see our parents undo the way they know marriage as unbelievers, and reestablish their marriage in Christ! In 2021 my oldest sister became sick and debilitated. Her three young children (2,4,&6) and husband were overwhelmed to say the least. During that time my parents sold their home and moved in with my sister and her family to care for them. It was a difficult year but God’s hand was in the midst of it all. My sister has since made a full recovery! Nonetheless my parents have eagerly been in search for a new home, all while balancing the hardship of caring for their aging parents. For a couple who is always taking care of everyone else, my siblings and I wanted to gift this weekend away to them. My husband and I attended WTR in 2015 just after our wedding and simultaneously an uncovered issue with pornography. Since then we’ve had 2 children, the most recent arriving July 2022. Two weeks ago the same issue resurfaced and we realized just how much our marriage had been put on the back burner by lack of communication. My wife and I have been married for 5 years. We started off our marriage with me working crazy hours… I treated my wife pretty bad partially due to the stress and lack of sleep the other having to do with some personal issues I was having in my life. It felt like most of issues that rose up were swept under the rug to not hurt the other person, slowly things began to boil over, years of problems coming up to the surface. We decided that we needed to spend more time together to build our relationship so I stepped away from the 9-5 to be able to spend time with her. We currently run a business that uses soccer training to teach biblical principles to young students (praise God). We are finally able to work some things out. We have been attending marriage seminars that are free or cheap in the area. My wife heard about weekend to remember and asked me to look into it. After hearing some of the stories from people in our church, I believe weekend to remember could be a huge move for our marriage because we can get away from everything and focus on each other and our relationship.

My wife, Bethany, and I are coming up on our 9-year anniversary (we made it through the 7-year mark, which is known to be a risky time, even though Covid happened during that time and I was also laid off that summer….but God is faithful). We are at a point where we are both noticing a bit of a slump, where some of the newness of everything seems to be wearing off, and while we will always be fully committed to each other, I’d love to attend this Weekend to Remember so that we can re-invigorate our marriage and family in a holy way. We have 2 boys, and we want to raise them up to be men of God and know that a strong marriage at home is essential for that. My wife and I have been married for ten years and have kids ages 9 and 6. We hit a point during Covid changes where we both work from home that a lot of hurt and feelings from the past came out and have really clouded our marriage. My wife and I have completely lost touch with the connection we once had together and I’ve been desperately seeking ways to rekindle our marriage. This conference sounds like exactly what I’ve been looking for, but my practical wife has a hard time spending money if we don’t have to (I personally think we HAVE to here!!!). Hi Sami, I’m glad I found your post, I’ll be honest, my wife and I will plan to make this in March in MPLS, We think it will be a great opportunity to help us work through the crazy cycles we do still go through. (Why do I think giving the cold shoulder is better than talking it out, it only makes my wife feel less loved) We know it will be good so we will be there, however we are hoping to make it a real conference to focus on us without kids. If we are able to get support on the tickets to the conference we can then put our finances towards the hotel so that we are not deciding to go home each night. My husband & I attended A weekend to remember on our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We gained so much from the event and wish we had taken the time to attend earlier in our marriage. It would have given us the skills to communicate and establish a more solid relationship and would made our a marriage stronger from the start. We want to provide our Son & his Fiancé with this sound foundation as they begin their life together. We attempted to register them to several WTR events, but CoVid caused many events to be cancelled as well as altering their wedding plans. We had plans for them to attend in November at the Cranberry Twp PA location, but our other Son died unexpectedly Nov 16th.
