UPDATE: It looks like my streak of early-entry winners has ended – congratulations to Tracy!

I recently received Max Lucado’s latest children’s book, “One Hand, Two Hands“. I have to admit, as a parent, it’s not often I can just completely hand a book over to my kids and watch them be enthralled without me even reading a word to them. I LOVE that it was written at a level that my first grade daughter could both read and understand on her own while my younger child simply enjoyed watching along and listening to her.

And what a simple, yet profound concept. At an age where I feel like I’m constantly telling my kids “No!” and “Wait!” so often because they’re not old enough to help me, this book specifically and delightfully outlines so many tangible and helpful things kids can actually accomplish with their own two hands.

I especially appreciate the list at the end of the book that gives further descriptions about how we can let kids get involved and help out with their little hands.

I could go on and on about this resource, but why should I when my daughter truly summed it up best:
“I like this book because it’s about hands…it makes me learn about what I can do nicely to help other people with my hands.”

Thanks to my friends over at Tommy Nelson, I get to give away a copy of this fabulous book to one of my readers!

Just post a comment below with your favorite thing about your kids’ hands or how you encourage them to help you on a daily basis. I’ll choose one winner at random on Tuesday, November 9th. For additional entries you can (leave an additional comment for each form of entry):
