IN MY LIFE:
I was listening to Judges 6 with the Daily Audio Bible Podcast today and heard something new in Gideon’s story. Gideon was asking God for a sign, which he gave him several times over. But Gideon still doubted.
He claimed he wasn’t capable to conquer what stood before him because he came from a small tribe and wasn’t even the most highly-regarded in his family. But the Angel of the Lord essential told him, “You can do it because I will help you.”
I don’t know what’s standing in your way today or what excuses you’re giving God, but just remember, you can do it because I believe in you and God does too!
PRAYER FOCUS: Self-Discipline
I feel like a bit of a hypocrite talking about self-discipline today when I struggle with this myself, but that’s exactly why I want to pray this characteristic over each of us.
